Welcome back for 2024! As you all hit the ground running in the new year we are primed and ready to support members through what will be another exciting and eventful year for graduate research. We look forward to the imminent release of the Australian Universities Accord recommendations and the Government response with a keen eye on the impacts and implications for graduate research.
As always we look forward to providing colleagues with opportunities to network and connect throughout the year with the first face-to-face opportunity coming up at the first ACGR national meeting in 2024. Co-hosted by the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia we look forward to welcoming you to the Adelaide Medical and Health Sciences (AHMS) Building at the University of Adelaide on April 15th and 16th.
Another date to note is February 16, this is the closing date for nominations for the ACGR Awards for Excellence. The awards recognise excellence in higher degree supervision (HDR) supervision, leadership, industry engagement, and programs and support. The awards are an opportunity to publicly acknowledge and showcase the level of excellence in graduate research practice undertaken across the sector. We await your nominations and will present the Awards at the national meeting dinner in April.
