ACGR Update April 2026

Dear colleagues,

As we move into April, we’re pleased to share the latest updates from the ACGR highlighting upcoming events, sector developments, and opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate excellence across our community.

Registrations are closing soon for the ACGR 2026 April One-Day National Meeting, with only a limited number of places remaining. The program is now available, offering a timely and engaging agenda for members. We encourage you to secure your place if you haven’t already.

Our 2026 webinar series is also underway, beginning with Supervisors Who Support: The How of Wellbeing in Higher Degree Research followed by What are you supervising for? These sessions will explore critical aspects of supervision practice and purpose, providing valuable insights for HDR leaders and supervisors.

We also highlight key graduate research news, including the release of the Ambitious Australia: Strategic Examination of Research and Development final report, and ACGR’s advocacy on the removal of taxation on part-time PhD stipends through a recent letter to the Treasurer.

We hope you find this update informative and encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities to engage with the ACGR community in the months ahead.

Best regards,

Louise Sharpe, ACGR President
Tracy Sullivan, Executive Director
