ACGR Webinar 4/2026 – Inclusive Support: Strengthening Success for Neurodivergent HDR Candidates
July 21 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
How can we create HDR environments where every candidate has the opportunity to thrive?
Following the release of the ACGR Good Practice Guidelines for Inclusive Supervision of Neurodivergent HDR Candidates, this webinar explores how inclusive supervision can transform the HDR experience across every stage of candidature.
Join us for an engaging discussion on the development of the guidelines, the evidence and insights that underpin them, and what meaningful impact looks like in practice. From designing inclusive research and learning environments to equipping supervisors with the tools and confidence to support neurodivergent candidates, this session will highlight practical approaches to strengthening outcomes for all HDR students.
We will also explore the critical role of Graduate Research Schools in leading systemic change through embedding inclusive practices, supporting supervisors, and shaping cultures where diverse ways of thinking are recognised as strengths.
Presenters:
Jillian Blacker, HDR Client Services Manager, QUT
Charlotte Brownlow, Dean, Graduate Research School, UniSQ
