ACGR Update July 2026

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the July edition of the ACGR Monthly Member Update.

As we move into the second half of the year, we’re pleased to share a range of opportunities, resources and updates from across the graduate research sector. In this edition you’ll find details of our upcoming webinar on supporting neurodivergent HDR candidates, important dates to add to your calendar—including the ACGR National Meeting at the University of Queensland in November—and a selection of news, resources and opportunities relevant to our members.

We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Professor Jane Stadler (UNE), who has recently stepped down from the ACGR Executive Committee. Jane has made a significant contribution to ACGR through her thoughtful leadership, expertise and commitment to advancing graduate research in Australia. On behalf of the ACGR community, we extend our heartfelt thanks and wish her every success in her future endeavours.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Professor Penny Martens (UTS) to the Executive Committee. Penny will serve on the committee until elections are held at the ACGR National Meeting in November, and we look forward to the experience and perspective she will bring to the role.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support of ACGR. We hope you find this month’s update informative and useful, and we look forward to connecting with you at our upcoming events.

Best regards,

Louise Sharpe, ACGR President
Tracy Sullivan, Executive Director
