Dear colleagues,
As we approach the end of another productive year, the Australian Council of Graduate Research extends warm wishes to all our members and colleagues. We hope the coming Christmas break brings a chance to reflect and recharge.
This month, we are delighted to welcome the incoming ACGR Executive Committee and look forward to the leadership and fresh perspectives they will bring in 2026. We also extend our sincere thanks and farewell to Professor Justin Zobel for his significant contributions, and longstanding commitment to ACGR. His impact on our community will be felt well into the years ahead.
Please note that the opening date for nominations for the ACGR Awards for Excellence has been revised. We encourage members to review the updated timeline and begin considering nominations that highlight the outstanding work occurring across our institutions.
We were heartened by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the November National Meeting, and we thank all who participated and contributed to constructive discussions and shared insights.
This is our final newsletter for the year, and we look forward to reconnecting with you in February for our first member update of 2026. Until then, we wish you a restful break and a successful end to the year.
