Nominations for 2023 ACGR Awards for Excellence now open

December 2022

Nominations for the ACGR Excellence in Graduate Research Education Awards are now open and will close at 5pm on 20 March 2023.

These awards recognise and reward excellence in higher degree research supervision, leadership and industry engagement and also contribute to good practice in higher degree research (HDR) supervision and leadership across Australia and New Zealand.

We are very pleased to announce the introduction of a new Award for Excellence in Graduate Research Programs and Support in 2023. The award will recognise outstanding service in the provision of a high-quality environment for graduate research students or staff through positive and engaging experiences. It complements ACGR’s existing suite of annual awards that celebrate excellence across the various aspects of Graduate Research.

The following awards will be presented in 2023:

  • ACGR Award for Excellence in Graduate Research Supervision, sponsored by ResearchMaster (individual or team nominations)
  • ACGR Award for Excellence in Graduate Research Leadership, sponsored by Epigeum (individual nominations only)
  • ACGR Award for Excellence in Promoting Industry Engagement in Graduate Research (individual or team nominations)
  • Award for Excellence in Graduate Research Programs and Support (individual or team nominations from professional and/or academic staff)

All universities are encouraged to run their own award programs so that they can acknowledge the champions in their universities who can then also be nominated for the national awards.

Nominations forms and details of the selection criteria are available on the ACGR website.
