DESCRIPTION:Presented by Professor Julie Sheldon\, Dean of the Doctoral Academy at Liverpool John Moores University and Dr Rebekah Smith McGloin\, Director\, Research Culture and Environment\, Nottingham Trent University\, this webinar provides the opportunity to find out more about a new PGR Competency-Based Admissions Framework developed by Nottingham Trent\, Liverpool John Moores and Sheffield Hallam Universities in collaboration with the UK Council for Graduate Education. The webinar will reflect on barriers to inclusive admissions practices and explore how the framework might work in your own university.   \n\n\n\nThe PGR Competency-Based Admissions Framework was developed as part of the Equity in Doctoral Education through Partnership and Innovation (EDEPI) project. DESCRIPTION:A toolkit to unlock potential & supercharge success for supervisors and their candidates \n\n\n\nIn this practical masterclass\, you will learn and practice a toolkit for building better habits for more effective\, quality-driven and thriving supervisory relationships. This interactive presentation will teach supervisors the nuts & bolts of the Tiny®Habits method and how to design for success in research\, wellbeing and beyond.  \n\n\n\nLearning outcomes \n\n\n\nIn this masterclass\, supervisors will: \n\n\n\n\nUnderstand how habits work\, why they matter\, and how to harness them for daily success for themselves and candidates.\n\n\n\nLearn a simple three step method – Tiny®Habits – to demystify and design habits that last.\n\n\n\nUpskill in a range of habit change tools that can support supervisors and candidates in equal measure.\n\n\n\nCreate a plan on a page using the Tiny®Habits model for fast action and immediate results.\n\n\n\n\nThis masterclass will be delivered by Certified Tiny®Habits Coach\, Claire Jackson\, an MBA-qualified researcher development and behaviour change specialist. With nearly twenty years of experience leading teams in UK and Australian universities\, Claire has developed and delivered award-winning skills training programs\, collaborating worldwide with industry\, academics\, policy-makers\, and students. Claire established The Wee Consultancy in 2021 after seven years at the University of South Australia where she provided leadership to the award-winning (ACGR\, 2023) PhD skills development model\, EDGE. \n\n\n\nClaire was a founding member of the Vitae Researcher Development Advisory Group (UK) and has co-authored international papers on PhD employability\, focusing on skills development\, industry mentoring and impact. She is a qualified consultant (Level 5\, CMI)\, project manager (Level D\, IPMA) and Tiny®Habits Coach. In 2021\, Claire graduated from South Australia’s Governor’s Leadership Foundation (GLF) program which provided new insights into where behaviour change could create lasting change. Claire’s work integrates principles of communication\, leadership and self-development\, focusing on habit change as the foundation for overall workplace wellbeing & organisational growth.
