DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Country by Paul Girrawah House for the 2022 ACGR National Meeting at the Kambri Centre\, ANU.\n\n\n\nACGR has welcomed more than 90 member representatives and their nominated colleagues from across the country to our first face to face national meeting since 2019. \n\n\n\nWith a focus on focus on connection and ensuring a quality future for graduate research education\, the two day meeting is taking place on November 14 and 15 at the Kambri Centre on campus at ANU in Canberra. \n\n\n\nKey themes to be addressed at the meeting include: \n\n\n\n\nreconsidering national priorities for research training – with key note presentations from sector leaders\n\n\n\nresearch ethics and integrity in research training\n\n\n\nsupporting Indigenous graduate research supervision\n\n\n\nensuring the quality of research training through the examination process\n\n\n\nmeeting workload challenges for graduate research leaders\, supervisors and candidates\n\n\n\nreport from and engaging with the Department of Education\n\n\n\nimplementing HDR Internships and the Migration Amendment Regulations\n\n\n\n\nDay one of the program included sessions discussing: \n\n\n\n\n‘Priorities for Research Training’ chaired by Professor Imelda Whelehan (ACGR President)\n\n\n\n‘Reconnecting for quality’\, chaired by Professor Clive Baldock (WSU)\n\n\n\n‘Federal Matters\, chaired by Professor Justin Zobel (Unimelb)\n\n\n\n‘Good Practice’\, chaired by Professor Anne-Marie Hede (VU)\n\n\n\n\nDay 1 proceedings concluded with conference dinner held at the National Museum of Australia on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. \n\n\n\nView the full program at: https://www.acgr.edu.au/activities/meetings/ \n\n\n\nDelegates at the ACGR National Meeting dinner held at the National Museum of Australia.\n\n\n\nThe ACGR National Meeting is proudly sponsored by:
